CJPL is a Hybrid League.
This means managers may choose to play their home games or have them simmed by the Commissioner.
Teams may play their series H2H if both managers agree.
CJPL will be using DMB Version 10 beginning in 2011.
The CJPL is made up of 24 organizations consisting of a Major League Team and a Minor League Roster consisting of protected and unprotected players.
The Major League Organization is composed of 2 leagues (one with DH, one without), each with 3 divisions.
These leagues will have a league championship series between division champions and 1 Wild Card team, the winners then meeting in the CJPLWorld Series.

Game Series will be played Wednesday thru Sunday. Home team manager will play each weekly 6-game series. Home Team Manager has the option of hosting some or all of the games H2H providing the visiting team manager agrees and a time for game play can be worked out. Game results are due by Noon Central Time on Mondays and any games not received will be simmed by Commissioner. The updated database will be posted on the web site Monday night or sooner if all results are in. Managers have until 4:00 pm on Tuesday to submit a new MP for the next week and the Play-Ball Database will be posted that night.
Post Season Game Play
Post season series will be played H2H if
both managers wish.
If that is not posible the post season series will be simmed by commissioner.
Major League Team rosters will be 40 players
maximum. Only 25 players may be active until September 1st when rosters can
be expanded to 40.
Each organization will have a roster of minor league players. Some of these will be protected by Option Contracts while some may be unprotected players subject to draft by other teams. There is no limit on the number of protected players a team may own but there is a roster limit of 10 unprotected MiL players
Teams may release any Major or Minor League player following the end of the season and prior to the Rule 5 and ML Supplimental Drafts.
Minor League Player Option Contracts:
Each team will hold option rights to their minor league players for set number of years. Teams retain rights until a player reaches the Major Leagues or contract option runs out. If a player reaches the Major Leagues he must either be placed on the team's 40-man roster or released.
If a player's Option Contract expires the team has the option to place that player on their 40-man roster (with no stats or usage), leaving him on the minor league roster as unprotected player or releasing the player.
Players acquired during the 2011 First Year
Player Draft will be signed to 5 Year Option Contracts.
Players drafted during Supplimental Minor League draft will be signed to contract lengths depending on highest minor league level reached that season:
AA- 3 Years
A or below- 4 Years
Pitchers must be rated as SP to be in starting rotation and as a RP to be inserted there in MP.
Position players may start at any position
for which they are rated as well as some extra positions depending on their
Rated at Catcher can play 1B
Rated at 1B can play corner OF
Rated at 2B can play 1B/SS
Rated at SS can play 2B/3B
Rated at 3B can play SS/1B
Rated at OF can play any OF position
Rated at DH can play 1B
These restrictions may not apply in certain situations such as injuries.
Bear in mind that DMB will impose varied defensive penalties for players playing unrated positions.
The league will use DMB V10 playing time
limitations to monitor usage levels
Player usage limitations will be set to 150% Combined and Split usage based on PA's & BF's.
Once a player reaches Combined 150% limit they must be farmed for the rest of the regular season but they would then be eligible for post season. Split usage will not require removal from active roster. If a player passes usage during a series or before it is noticed the DMB playing time limits will reduce player's level of play.
Post Season Rosters:
Post season active rosters will be 25 players. Any player not on a team's 40 man roster as of September 1st, may be eligible for post season play ONLY IF there is an injury to someone already on a post season roster and with the following limitation: pitchers may only sub for pitchers and position players may only sub for position players.
Teams may acquire free agent players at any
time during the season by sending a request to the Commissioner stating the
player requested and the player they wish to release. This will be awarded
on a first-come, first serve basis. Transactions will be processed to go into
effect for the next game play database. Players acquired after September 1st
are not eligible for post season play.
Players who are injured for 10 days or more may be placed on the DL for the length of their injuries.
Teams may complete trades at any time during the season until September 1st. Both Major and Minor League players may be traded. Major League Supplemental Draft picks may be traded for players or other picks. First Year Player Draft, MiL Supplimental Draft picks & Rule 5 draft picks may not be traded.
Trades are never allowed between teams controlled by the same owner unless it is part of a multi-team trade.
Each year Organizations will participate
in a First Year Player Draft (selecting from those players drafted in the
real Major League FYPD) drafting 5 players.
A Supplimental Minor League Player Draft will be held in the fall. In 2011 every team will draft 2 minor league players. Starting in 2012 only teams who had no players exceed combined usage will take part in draft. Only MiL players who did not reach Majors that year are eligible for draft.
A one round Rule 5 Draft will be held in December. Unprotected players on team's MIL rosters are subject to draft. Teams who draft a player must keep that player on their 40-man ML roster as uncarded player for coming season.
Supplemental Major League Player Draft will held following the release of most current DMB Season Disk to bring each teams Major League roster to 40 players
